Pounding fists
Against hardened wood
Nothing works
Did you think it would?
You didn't expect
For this to occur
They wanted you dead
This is how they make sure.
Locked six feet below
Your air running out
You take a deep breath
And let out a shout.
No one can hear you
They never will
Locked in a coffin
Till there's no more to feel.

Two Dead Boys
Ladies and Gentlemen, skinny and stout,
I'll tell you a tale I know nothing about;
The Admission is free, so pay at the door,
Now pull up a chair and sit on the floor.
One fine day in the middle of the night,
Two dead boys got up to fight;
Back to back they faced each other,
Drew their swords and shot each other.
A blind man came to watch fair play,
A mute man came to shout "Horray!"
A deaf policeman heard the noise and
Came to stop those two dead boys.
He lived on the corner in the middle of the block,
In a two-story house on a vacant lot;
A man with no legs came walking by,
and kicked the lawman in his thigh.
He crashed thro

Devil's Lullabye
Warning: slightly disturbing poem ahead
Hush little baby
Dont say a word
Rock a bye to the cry
Of the carrion bird
Hold it tight, your teddy bear
Bear is in the trap
Never worry for your life
Once the teeth go snap
Say your prayers, darlings
Count the blessings in your lives
Until the man down the road is done
Sharpening his knives
Dream of sweet things sweetly
Dreaming is so hard
No, you cant sleep with the dog
Hes buried in the yard
Dont ask where Daddy ran to
Dont ask where Mommys gone
All you have is this dark angel
Helping you along
Please put out the candle, dear
When it comes to

The Truth Of Life
People laugh, people cry
People live, people die
People heal, people hurt
People delay, people flirt
People help, people ignore
People fight, people endure
People obey, people rebel
People complain, people revel
People deposit, people withdraw
People command, people recall
People demand, people refuse
People compromise, people confuse
Everything that I have said here
Is a simple and regular aspect
Of the way our lives are lived
We cannnot change it
Nor can we prevent it
Much less delay the inevitable
I am not implying destiny controls us all
Just that sometimes
Thing happen for a reason
And sometimes they happen as a coin

This is a little poem I've been working on for a while that was inspired by the macabre little band, Creature Feature.
This particular piece is centered around the line from "A Gorey Demise" that says "E Is For Erik - Who Was Buried Alive".
I wrote this to put on a project for my Graphics Class but we ended up not having to do the project. Go figure! I also have two poems for Curtis that I just need to flesh out a bit.
I'm kinda, actually, really proud of this poem.
